NCCU Volleyball Hosts Howard, Norfolk State

DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central looks to get on track with two home volleyball matches this weekend.

Howard and Norfolk State are heading to McDougald-McLendon Arena to face the Eagles, who are seeking to stop a four-match losing skid. The Howard match is Friday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. and the Norfolk State match is Sunday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m.

NCCU - 1-3 in the MEAC and 4-12 overall
Howard – 2-2 in the MEAC and 8-7 overall
Norfolk State – 0-4 in the MEAC and 1-16 overall

NCCU vs. HOWARD
  • The Eagles are 0-15 against Howard since 2008.
  • The Bison, last year's MEAC regular season champion, are tied for fourth in the conference.
  • Howard will attempt to snap a two-match losing streak.
  • The Bison lead the MEAC in points per set (16.61), hitting percentage (.224), blocks per set (2.34) and service aces per set (2.02).
