RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University men's and women's track and field teams completed the Raleigh Relays on Saturday evening after three days of competition. The meet was hosted by North Carolina State University at the Paul Derr Track Facility from March 28-30 with talent from across the country. Senior Joidon Boddie and sophomore Lamont Victoria finished in the top 10 in the women's triple jump and men's high jump, respectively.
Boddie (Raleigh, N.C.) finished seventh in the women's triple jump (12.30m) in just her second meet this year after missing indoor action. Joining her in the top-20 were Micah Fulton (12.04m) and Anyae Lindsay (11.41m) for 12th and 20th-place finishes.
Victoria (Prince George, Va.) cleared 2.00m to finish eighth. Freshman Jonathan Raijon-Koger jumped 1.95m for a 13th-place finish in the same event. Sophomore Tia Lucas finished 14th in the women's high jump event leaping 1.65m.
Two more Eagles ended the Raleigh Relays in the top-25. Joy Harris completed the women's javelin event in 23rd (35.82m) and Daniel Robinson finished 22nd in the men's 200m (21.78).
NC Central returns to the track next weekend as the Eagles head to High Point University for the VertKlasse Meeting on April 5-6.
