DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University junior Hugo Hidalgo Vega collects another singles victory in back-to-back matches in a 6-1 loss to the University of North Carolina at Asheville on Saturday afternoon.

Hidalgo Vega defeated UNC Asheville's Sam Nicholson 6-2 in the first set followed by a 3-0 lead before Nicholson retired the match and couldn't finish competing.

Abdul Hakim suffered a 6-3, 6-1 loss in No.2 Singles while Fortier-Gariepy dropped his 6-4, 6-2 match in No.3 Singles. Bharathy fell in a pair of 6-2 sets against his opponent.

UNC Asheville (8-3) collected two more singles victories as Saarinen and redshirt freshman Lucas Artigas couldn't complete their matches and retired.
