Morgantown, W. Va. – The North Carolina Central University men's basketball team heads to West Virginia University on Tuesday for the first meeting between the two programs. The Eagles and Mountaineers face off at 7 p.m. on Dec. 10 in the WVU Coliseum.

NCCU BENCH
NC Central is coming off a 78-77 victory at Gardner-Webb University on Dec. 7 with last-second heroics from redshirt senior guard Isaac Parson. Down two points with the game on the line, Parson hit a three-pointer with seven seconds remaining to close out the contest.
Junior guard Po'Boigh King scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds against the Runnin' Bulldogs. He is currently the leading scorer for the Eagles averaging 17.4 points per game, which is third in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
The Eagles have been locking down on defense holding top-10 statistical rankings in the NCAA in turnovers forced per game (2nd – 18.91 per game), turnover margin (7th – +7.5) and steals per game (8th – 10.7 spg). NCCU is number one in the MEAC in all three of those categories.
WEST VIRGINIA BENCH
The Mountaineers of West Virginia (6-2) are on a two-game winning streak after defeating the University of Arizona and Georgetown University. In the 73-60 win against Georgetown on Dec. 6, WVU's Javon Small led all scorers with 26 points.
Small is in the top-25 in NCAA individual statistics and is currently 22nd in the nation in both minutes per game (35:53) and steals per game (2.50).
West Virginia is third in the nation in blocks per game at 6.4. The Mountaineers are also 21st in threes per game at a 10.5 average. WVU has received votes in the AP Poll this week.
