TURNOVER HURT WOMEN’S HOOPS IN LOSS AT CLEMSON

CLEMSON, S.C. - Kyla Bryant made it a second straight game scoring in double figures for the North Carolina Central women's basketball team as they fell to Clemson 33-91 inside Littlejohn Coliseum Thursday night. 

Bryant finished with 11 points, three assists and three rebounds, while Morgan Callahan contributed seven points and two steals for NC Central (0-2). 

Aysia Hinton knocked down her only 3-pointer of the game and grabbed two rebounds for NCCU 

NC Central struggled offensively, shooting 25 percent from the floor (12-48) and 18 percent from beyond the 3-point arc (2-11). The Eagles only made 7 of 17 shots from the charity stripe. 

Defensively, the Eagles grabbed 21 rebounds and blocked two shots. 

Clemson (2-0) was led by Loyal McQueen, who scored a game-high 22 points to lead four Tigers in double figures.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, November 9, for their home opener when they host Wofford. The game is scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. from McDougald McLendon Arena.
