DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University men's and women's tennis teams will host NCCU Tennis Day on Tuesday, Sept. 12 during the 10:40 a.m. break. This event will take place at the Dr. James W. Younge Tennis Courts, located behind McDougald-McLendon Arena.
NCCU Tennis Day will be open to all NCCU students, faculty, staff, and the public. There will be drinks, snacks, and music provided, as well as giveaways.
The United States Tennis Association Southern Section will be sponsoring this year's event in conjunction with NCCU's RecWell. The USTA Southern Section has provided both racquets and low-compression tennis balls to NCCU, staying true to its mission of promoting and developing the growth of tennis. More general information about the
USTA will be available at the event.
Both NCCU men's and women's tennis will travel to College Park, Ga. on Sept. 14-17 as they begin their fall season at the HBCU National Tennis Championships.
