The Douglasville, Georgia, resident was named to the 2023 MEAC Softball All-Academic Team.

Jones is a biology major and she boasts a 3.929 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at NCCU through the spring 2023 semester. She has plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy after she graduates from NCCU.
