RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University Women's Tennis team defeated Shaw University 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon to stretch the Eagles' win streak to five.

Isabelle Exsted beat Chetna Kumari 6-1, 6-2 for her sixth straight win.
Freshman
Alejandra Hidalgo Vega defeated Dana Moreno 7-5, 6-0 for her fifth straight win, while her classmate
Candice Bernier clipped Anja Antonijevic 6-2, 6-3 for her third consecutive victory.
Sophomore
Lafi Joao beat Sewal Ozsker 6-2, 6-1, junior
Jade Houston outlasted Jessa Mitchell 6-1, 6-2, and sophomore
Kennedy Hill's match with Prerana Koirala was unfinished due to retirement.
In doubles action, Bernier/Hill beat Moreno/Koirala 6-4, Houston/Joao fell to Ozsker/Antonijevic 6-4, while Hidalgo Vega paired up with junior
Maria Picazo Martin and was clipped by Kumari/Mitchell 6-4.
NCCU (9-8) will return to action against Norfolk State University at the NSU Tennis Center on Saturday, April 8.
