Joidon Boddie achieved a career-best mark of 12.83 meters to win the women's triple jump at the VertKlasse Meeting, hosted by High Point University on Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1.
NCCU senior
Donnell Carter ran to victory in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 47.66 seconds.
Other top performers for NCCU were
Matthew Swepson placing sixth in the men's javelin with a throw of 54.06m,
Tia Lucas finishing seventh in the women's high jump at a height of 1.63m,
Micah Fulton earning eighth place in the women's triple jump with a measurement of 12.13m, and
Victoria Swepson tallying eighth place in the women's 800m run at 2:17.09.
NCCU freshman
Summer Washington crossed the finish line first in the women's 400m hurdles participate race with a winning time of 1:03.65.
Up next, NCCU travels across town to compete at the Duke University Invitational on April 6-8.
