DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University men's tennis freshman
Facundo Olmedo defeated Luis Reis 6-3, 6-3 to earn his fifth consecutive singles win and clinch the Eagles' 4-3 victory over Longwood University at the Dr. James W. Younge Tennis Courts on Thursday evening.

Sebastian Pino and sophomore
Oliver Saarinen teaming up to beat Guillermo Cagigas and Timeo Puech 7-5, while Olmedo paired up with senior
LaQuon Gilchrist to defeat Gary Huang and Alejandro Uribe 6-2 to claim the maroon and gray's first point.
Later in singles play, Pino battled and outlasted Cagigas 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, while freshman
Kareem Abdul Hakim beat Puech 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Freshman
Naresh Bharathy was clipped by Lukas Krause (6-1, 6-3), junior
Shaka Cristellotti was beaten by Uribe (7-6, 6-2), and Saarinen was defeated by Yoav Weinberg (6-4, 6-3).
Up next, NCCU (5-13) will travel to Greensboro to battle rival North Carolina A&T State University at the Aggie Tennis Center on Saturday, April 1.
