RALEIGH, N.C. – North Carolina Central University senior
Donnell Carter ran the fastest 400-meter dash of his career to earn second place at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State University on Thursday through Saturday at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility.
Carter completed the lap around the track in 46.91 seconds, less than four-tenths of a second behind event winner Nickolis Anderson (46.59) of UNC Wilmington.
Other top finishers for NCCU were
Joidon Boddie, who placed fifth in the women's triple jump with a distance of 12.56 meters, and
Lamont Victoria, who tied for eighth place in the men's high jump with a leap of 2.01m.
Also in the men's high jump,
Brenden Finger achieved a personal-best height of 1.96m to place 18th.
Micah Fulton slipped into the top-20 in 19th position in the women's triple jump at 11.68m, while also placing 26th in the women's long jump at 5.46m.
