DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University junior guard
Justin Wright recorded his first career double-double in the Eagles' 83-63 victory over Morgan State inside McDougald-McLendon Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Wright hit nine of 12 field goals, two triples, and five shots from the charity stripe to finish the contest with a game-high 25 points. He also added a career-best 11 rebounds and claimed two steals.

Brendan Medley-Bacon had an impressive game, finishing with 17 points, eight boards, and six blocks.
Also reaching double figures was senior forward
Kris Monroe, who scored 14 points, and snagged nine rebounds.
The maroon and gray received stout point guard play from junior
Fred Cleveland Jr. and senior
Eric Boone. Clevland Jr. scored nine points and had three takeaways, while Boone dished out six assists.
The Eagles took control of the game from the jump. Morgan State led the game for just 27 seconds after going up 2-0 in the opening moments of the ball game.
NCCU's offense was effective throughout the contest. The unit shot 51.9% from the field (28-54) and 41.2% from beyond the arc (7-17).
Additionally, the Eagles outscored the Bears 40-24 in the paint and generated 24 fast break points compared to 11 for MSU.
NCCU (11-11) return to action on Monday, Feb. 13 against Coppin State inside McDougald-McLendon Arena. The action begins at 7:30 p.m.
