Jajuan Mabry has joined the North Carolina Central University Department of Athletics as General Manager of Corporate Partnerships.

Mabry brings to NCCU a diverse sales history with a documented track record of development at the collegiate and professional sports level.

His hire is part of NCCU's 10-year agreement with
Peak Sports MGMT to oversee multimedia rights and enhance the NCCU Athletics marketing brand. As a representative of Peak Sports, Mabry will manage and sell all sponsorship inventory for NC Central Athletics, including venue signage, program advertising, digital and web content, game sponsorships and special events, along with several other opportunities.

A native of Hampton, Virginia, Mabry got his start in collegiate athletics at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, working in ticket and group sales covering a variety of sports.Â
In 2018, Mabry joined the City of Hampton in coordinating programs and community engagement, often representing his city on a national platform.
Soon after, Mabry joined The Sports Facilities Companies and the Rocky Mount Event Center, overseeing ticketing and the entertainment center. He played a multi-purpose role in helping the Event Center reopen during the pandemic. Mabry still plays an active role with the thriving Event Center in Eastern North Carolina as a consultant.Â
He joins NCCU from his last stop as a Sales Director in professional soccer with the Charlotte Independence, of the USL.
Mabry graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Sport Management and obtained his MBA from Strayer University.Â
He enjoys mixing sports and community engagement, and still plays an active role in non-profits in his hometown of Hampton, Virginia, which includes Positive Energy Inc, Speak Life Foundation, and his father's Southside Football League.Â
