CARY, N.C. – The upper half of North Carolina Central University's lineup all won in a 4-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference loss to Delaware State University in Friday's action at the MEAC Round-Up at the Cary Tennis Park.

Maria Picazo were the victorious Eagles.
Houston (5-6) needed three sets to win her marquee singles match against freshman Kit Yi Kay Au-Yeung. The 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 triumph was her fourth straight victory.
Hill (6-5) moved over .500 on the season with her team-best sixth win of the season on court two. Hill knocked off sophomore Daria Julia in straight set scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
Picazo (5-6) won for a third time in two days, including against a past All-MEAC Team selection for a second straight day in a row. Picazo held off sophomore Klaudija Lisovska at No. 3 singles in two tight set scores of 6-4 and 7-5.
The Hornets won all three doubles matches and the bottom three singles matches in straight sets to seal the team victory. Delaware State (4-3, 2-1) moved over .500, both on the season and in league play.
NC Central (3-9, 1-2) has lost four matches by the slimmest of margins, 4-3, this season, including both of its conference losses. The Eagles will try and bounce back when they conclude play in the MEAC Round-Up against Howard University on Saturday at noon.
