Sebastian Pino captured singles victories during a 5-2 men's tennis loss to North Carolina A&T State University on Thursday at the NCCU Tennis Courts.
From the No. 1 singles position, Madzar (Split, Croatia) won convincingly in straight sets (6-2, 6-0) for his third singles triumph in the last four outings.
Pino (Caracas, Venezuela), who has also won three of his last four singles matches, had to battle in tiebreakers in both sets, earning a 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-4) victory from the fourth position. He has now played in four straight tiebreaker sets.
NCCU returns to the courts on Saturday, April 10, when the Eagles visit South Carolina State University.
