Florida A&M heads into the final games of the season with a 6-4 record in league play, and will battle with NCCU to see who will finish second in the division. M.J. Randolph leads the squad with 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, and Jalen Speer follows with 11.3 points per outing. Randolph scored a game-high 20 points with six rebounds last time out in a 63-58 win over S.C. State, and D.J. Jones chipped in 11 points with eight boards.

NCCU cleaned the glass on the road against North Carolina A&T on Feb. 27 as the Eagles pulled down 50 rebounds that night, the most against a MEAC opponent in the Division I era. Nine of the 11 Eagles that checked in collected at least one carom, led by
Jahnathan Maxwell who pulled down a joint game-high nine.
