SCOUTING THE RATTLERS
Florida A&M started the season with a few close-calls against Power Five opponents during its nonconference schedule, but is off to a 1-2 start in MEAC play. The Rattlers are bolstered by M.J. Randolph who stands high on the conference leaderboards with 16.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Randolph posted an impressive double-double of 20 points and 10 boards last time out in a narrow 67-65 loss at North Carolina A&T on Jan. 31.

ARC ARCHERS
NCCU hit the mark 14 times from the perimeter against South Carolina State on Feb. 1, and shot 58.3 percent (14-24) in that game as well on the way to a 91-77 victory.   The Eagles also made an impressive eight treys in the first half alone. Fourteen three-pointers is the most made by the Eagles in a regular-season game against a MEAC opponent since NCCU connected 16 times against North Carolina A&T on Jan. 28, 2017 in an 82-59 win.
