SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
USC Upstate is off to a 2-4 start to the season, and has played all but two of its games within the Palmetto State.  The Spartans posted a second-half rally against Furman in their last time out, but fell, 87-77.  Nick Alves scored all of his team-high 16 points in the second half of that contest.  Bryson Mozone scored 11 points in that game, and he leads the Spartans in nearly every statistical category.  Mozone leads in scoring, rebounding, and assists with 14.7 points, 4.7 boards, and 2.3 assists per outing.  This is the second all-time meeting between NCCU and USCU, after last season's meeting was scratched due to the pandemic.

EAGLES ON TOUR
NCCU will head on its second four-game road trip of the season from Nov. 29-Dec. 6 as it visits Gardner-Webb, USC Upstate, UNC Asheville and The Citadel.  This is the second time in the last three seasons where the Eagles have had multiple four-game road trips.  The last time it happened was during the 2019-20 season: Nov. 26-Dec. 7 and Jan. 11-20.
