NORFOLK, Va. – Thirteen North Carolina Central University Eagles have earned postseason All-MEAC football honors, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Rainbow-Douglas (R-Sr., 6-0, 215, Philadelphia, Pa.) topped the conference with 88 tackles and ranked seventh in the league with 8.0 stops for a loss with 2.0 sacks. He also tallied two pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. The linebacker was also a two-time recipient of the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week award (Oct. 25, Nov. 8), including when he registered a season-high 15 tackles with 2.5 hits for a loss and a sack during a double-overtime victory over Norfolk State.
Olivo (So., 5-10, 160, Plant City, Fla.) led the MEAC with 11 field goals made and ranked second in the nation in field goal percentage (91.7%), converting 11 of 12 field goal attempts with a long of 43 yards. He added 25 extra-point kicks to top the Eagles in scoring with 58 points, and received the MEAC Specialist of the Week award three times (Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Nov. 15) during his sophomore campaign.
Codrington (5-9, 170, So., Raleigh, N.C.), who was an All-MEAC Third Team selection in 2019, garnered first team honors this year as the third-leading punt returner in NCAA Division I-FCS with a MEAC-best 15.0-yard punt return average, while also ranking second in the league with a 22.5-yard kickoff return average. His 77-yard punt return touchdown against Alcorn State in the season-opener, sealed the victory for the Eagles in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta. Codrington was named MEAC Specialist of the Week for his performance in the season finale versus Delaware State as he blocked the Hornets' field goal attempt in the first overtime, which set up NCCU's victory, and returned a punt 25 yards to set up a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Richard (So., 6-3, 200, Belle Glade, Fla.) ranked second in the MEAC with 2,496 yards of total offense, an average of 226.9 total yards per contest. He threw for 2,133 yards to become just the second quarterback in NCCU history to register more than 2,000 passing yards in consecutive seasons. The signal caller completed 58.0% of his passes (177-for-305) and accounted for 23 total touchdowns (15 passing, 8 rushing). Richard was named the MEAC Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 25) after throwing four touchdown passes in a road win at Morgan State.
McDaniel (Sr., 6-2, 215, Sugar Land, Texas) topped the MEAC with 52 receptions for 678 yards and four touchdowns. His 52 catches rank ninth on NCCU's single-season list. He was named MEAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 27) after racking up 178 receiving yards on nine catches against North Carolina A&T, and became just the ninth Eagle to register 10 receptions in a game when he accomplished the feat against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 9).
Bullock (So., 6-4, 290, Accokeek, Md.) topped the Eagles with a grade of 85%, along with team-highs of 14 pancake blocks and nine knockdowns. The versatile lineman, who played multiple positions on the offensive front, surrendered just one sack in 11 games played.
Trigg (R-Sr., 6-4, 300, Loganville, Ga.) achieved a grade of 81 percent on the season with 13 pancake blocks and six knockdowns, while yielding just one sack in nine games.
Williams (R-So., 6-0, 210, Laurel, Md.) finished the season as the second-leading tackler in the conference with 82 takedowns. He also ranked second on the team with five pass break-ups and recovered a fumble. The linebacker tallied double-digit tackles three times this year, including a season-high 16 hits at Marshall (Sept. 11).
Macklin (R-Sr., 6-5, 215, Las Vegas, Nev.) finished fourth in the team with 16 receptions for 201 yards and a touchdown. The tight end collected a season-best three receptions for 43 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown grab during a win at Morgan State.
Malit (R-Jr., 6-3, 235, Concord, N.C.) collected 28 tackles with 5.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage. His 3.5 sacks tied for the team lead and ranks fifth in the league. The defensive end posted a season-high six takedowns with a sack against Winston-Salem State, and added five stops with a sack versus South Carolina State.
Manning (Jr., 6-2, 255, Durham, N.C.) produced 25 tackles from his defensive tackle position, including 5.0 hits for a loss with two sacks. He achieved a season-best five tackles with 1.5 hits for a loss and a sack against both Alcorn State and Mississippi Valley State.
Taylor (R-Fr., 6-1, 274, Durham, N.C.) finished fourth on the team with 60 tackles, including 6.0 takedowns for a loss with 1.5 sacks. He also forced a pair of fumbles. The defensive tackle concluded the season with a game-high 11 tackles, including 1.5 hits for a loss, and a forced fumble in an overtime triumph against Delaware State.
Smith (R-So., 6-0, 180, Laurel Hill, N.C.) placed third on the squad with 61 tackles, including a team-high 44 solo stops, with a sack, two pass break-ups, an interception, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He was named the Defensive MVP of the MEAC/SWAC Challenge with 10 takedowns, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the win over Alcorn State. The safety amassed a season-best 14 tackles (10 solo) during a double-overtime victory against Norfolk State.
