DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University cheerleader
Ti'Eja Woodson has been named the NCCU Student-Athlete of the Month for August 2020 in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments on the sidelines, in the classroom and in the community.
Woodson is a four-year letter winner as member of the varsity cheerleading squad. She was named the 75th Miss NCCU in her senior year on her platform, "Championship," which encourages students to become champions in the classroom and through community service, and to advocate for breast cancer awareness.
Woodson is a member of the Alpha Lambda chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and has done multiple community service projects with the organization.
During her junior year, Woodson was named NCCU Miss Champagne and Miss Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Woodson graduated NCCU with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.42 as a business major with a concentration in human resources. She is currently back home and working for Housing Opportunities Made Equal.
