FOUR ACES
North Carolina Central University captured its fourth MEAC regular season crown by defeating rival North Carolina A&T, 86-80 on March 5 in Durham.  NCCU has now won four MEAC regular season titles in the last seven seasons, stretching back to the 2013-14 season. The Eagles have also won the last three MEAC Tournament championships.

FOUR KINGS
Jibri Blount put together an impressive season to finish top-five in the MEAC in multiple categories, and he was named MEAC Player of the Year to become the fourth player in program history to be named league player of the year. He joins
LeVelle Moton who was named CIAA Player of the Year in 1996, Jeremy Ingram (MEAC, 2014), and Patrick Cole (MEAC, 2017). Over the season, Blount averaged 19.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while shooting 53.2 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from the arc with 2.2 steals per game. He also stepped it up against MEAC opponents by putting up 20.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game with a 54.4 percent field goal rate. A list of Blount's regular season statistical rankings in the MEAC is below.

PERKINS THE PLAYMAKER
Junior point guard
Jordan Perkins has logged a lot of time on the court in his career, totaling over 2400 minutes, and 94 appearances with 69 starts out of a possible 99 games. With that time on the floor, he's also been a great playmaker and now stands third all-time in career assists at NCCU. On Jan. 20, 2020 at Florida A&M he recorded his 400th career assist to become just the third Eagle to reach that career milestone. He then dished out seven assists against SC State on Feb. 1, 2020 to move into second all-time on the list. Perkins is also second in the MEAC in assists with an average of 4.9 per game. Below is a list of the top-five assisters at NCCU.
