BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — Gardner-Webb University won all nine matches contested Sunday in completing a 7-0 non-conference home victory over the North Carolina Central University women's tennis team.
The Runnin' Bulldogs won 90 of 108 games played to earn their first win of the season.
Gardner-Webb (1-1) started the day with a pair of flawless 6-0 wins on the top two courts to secure the doubles team point.
NCCU's senior duo of
Sofia Miller and
Emily Pena were in involved in the tightest doubles match, losing a close 6-4 decision on court three to junior Valentine Limauge and sophomore Manon Delsol.
Five of GWU's six singles players posted at least one 6-0 set score on the way to winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Ivana Dragovic tallied half of NCCU's 14 game wins in singles with a 6-4, 6-3 loss at the fifth position in the lineup to Limauge.
NC Central (0-2) will next make its home debut on Saturday, Feb. 1, when the Lady Eagles host Winston-Salem State University at 1 p.m.
