DURHAM, N.C. – No team in NCAA Division I football has more takeaways than North Carolina Central University.
 
NCCU tops both the FCS and FBS ranks with 13 turnovers gained, including MEAC-highs of seven interceptions (3rd in FCS) and six fumble recoveries (4th in FCS).
 
The Eagles' seven interceptions through four games are already more than the six they recorded last season. With linebacker Jerome Foster returning an interception for a touchdown during a 45-7 win over Elizabeth City State on Saturday, NCCU has now tallied at least one pick-six for 16 consecutive seasons.
 
NCCU (1-3) begins conference play next Saturday (Sept. 28) at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
