DAVIDSON, N.C. — Junior outside hitter
Christine Alcox averaged 10 kills per match in a trio of contests at the Davidson College Invitational to earn All-Tournament honors, including 21 total kills in a pair of losses for the North Carolina Central University volleyball team Saturday.
The host Wildcats swept the Lady Eagles, 3-0, before Presbyterian College rallied for a 3-1 victory over NCCU in the final match for the maroon and gray.
NC Central (0-11) next plays at East Carolina University on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Jasmine Sanders blasted 10 kills and posted a .333 hitting percentage to pace the Lady Eagles. Junior

Celene Morris once again flirted with a double-double with 25 assists and eight digs. Junior libero
Yomaries Villegas contributed 14 digs.

Davidson (4-4) leveled its record with the 25-14, 25-23, 25-22 triumph.
Sophomore Hattie Rodriguez had 13 kills for the Wildcats, while junior Sydney Champaign filled up the box score with 32 assists, seven digs, three aces and two kills.

Alcox ripped a career-high 15 kills against the Blue Hose and hit .257 for the match. Her 15 kills surpassed her previous best of 14 kills from her freshman year.
Sanders added a season-high 13 kills, her fourth match with 10-plus kills and second time in the tournament.
Morris supplied 36 assists; Villegas logged 12 digs; senior

Alyssa Pieh launched three aces; Young was credited with seven block assists; and Faulkner finished with seven kills, six digs and three block assists.
The Lady Eagles hit .228 for the match, their third straight performance over .200 after not hitting over .200 in their first eight matches.
Presbyterian (3-7) was able to survive against NCCU for a second time this season, overcoming a lost first set to prevail 26-28, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19.
A trio of Blue Hose had double-figure kills, led by 19 spikes off the arm of sophomore Lauren Talbert.
