DURHAM, N.C. - With North Carolina Central University student-athletes competing at both the Raleigh Relays and the Pepsi Florida Relays, the jumpers proved to be the top performers for NCCU during the weekend.
At the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State University, NCCU sophomore
Keila Robertson placed eighth in the women's triple jump with a distance of 11.87 meters, while also finishing 36th in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.10m. Fellow sophomore triple jumper
Taelor Ferguson posted a mark of 11.49m to finish in the 17th position.
At the Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida, NCCU sophomore
Bhrandi Crenshaw achieved a personal-best measurement of 12.72 meters in the women's triple jump to place ninth. NCCU men's high jumpers
Marvin Jones and
Omega Smalls cleared 2.01m to place eighth and 13th, respectively.
Up next, NCCU track & field teams will compete at the N.C. A&T Aggie Invitational on April 12-13 in Greensboro.
