BUIES CREEK, N.C. — Campbell University won all six singles matches in straight sets on its way to securing a 7-0 non-conference men's tennis victory over visiting North Carolina Central University on Saturday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
The Camels improved to 2-3 on the early season while the Eagles start the year 0-1.

Pablo Juez Torres was the only NCCU player in maroon and gray to play in a tiebreaker, falling to junior Fernando Clemente by a score of 7-6, 6-1. Clemente, a former Big South All-Conference honoree, won the first set tiebreaker 7-4 on the way to the No. 6 singles triumph.

Gabriel Cucalon also played a tight first set for the Eagles, eventually falling 7-5, 6-3 to senior Dustin Werner, a two-time Big South First Team All-Conference selection.

Thanos Spyropoulos were all making their dual-match debuts for the maroon and gray.
The Camels used 6-1 and 6-2 victories in the top two doubles bouts to secure the initial point of the day.
