HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Carolina Central University senior
James Johnson placed fourth in the decathlon during the Bill Webb Combined Events Classic, hosted by High Point University on Thursday and Friday (March 29-30).
Johnson, out of Garner, North Carolina, amassed 5,156 points to finish just 30 points out of third place.
NCCU also captured places six through eight in the decathlon, as
Tristan Locklear finished sixth (5,084),
Mykol Branch seventh (4,592) and
Marcus Campbell eighth (4,220).
In the heptathlon, NCCU freshman
Destinee Fisher placed eighth out of 11 competitors with 3,583 points.
