ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The North Carolina Central University women's tennis team was handed a 7-0 loss by UNC Asheville at the downtown Ashville Racquet Club Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs won all five singles matches contested in straight sets and only lost four games in the three doubles to complete the sweep. UNC Asheville (4-2) is a perfect 4-0 in home matches.
The top four Bulldogs all lost just exactly five games in their individual triumphs over NCCU's senior No. 1

UNCA freshman No. Taylor Love did not drop any of her 12 games for the most convincing win of the day.
Rogers suffered her loss to junior Kylee Shipley, an All-Big South honoree.

Polina Sakharova returned to the Eagles lineup after missing the last few matches due to injury, but she did not participate in singles to allow the Bulldogs to get one forfeit win.
NCCU (0-5) next hosts Longwood University on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
