Meet Results 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Sprinters highlighted the performances of North Carolina Central University men's and women's track and field teams at the HBCU Indoor Track & Field Invitational on Monday (Jan. 15) at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
 
NCCU junior Bethany White and senior transfer Akia Morris placed second and third, respectively in the women's 60-meter dash. White was the event runner-up with a time of 7.62 seconds, while Morris posted a time of 7.74 seconds.
 
Morris, a transfer from Virginia Union, also placed fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.30 seconds, while junior teammate Miaysha Bryant finished fifth with an identical time.
 
On the men's side, NCCU senior Deontae Williams topped three Eagles finishing in the top-8 of the 60m dash, placing sixth with times of 7.06 in the preliminaries and 7.11 in the finals. Malik Miles finished seventh (7.19 prelims/7.20 finals) and senior Isaac Roberts placed eighth (7.10 prelims).
 
Other top-5 performances for NCCU were achieved by Nicolas Anderson (2nd, 3.85m/12' 7.5") and Hollan Strepay (3rd, 3.40m/11' 1.75") in the men's pole vault, Marvin Jones and Mykol Branch, who tied for fifth in the men's high jump (1.92m/6' 3.5"), and Sharnea Brown in the women's triple jump (5th, 11.12m/36' 5.75").
 
In the 4x400m relay events, the NCCU women (Jaleesa Smoot, Tyresha Alexander, Lovasia Thomas and Kiana Seabrook) placed fourth with a time of 4:03.40, while the NCCU men (Gordon Lewis, Da'Mon Ingram, Tristan Locklear and Jazire Notice) finished fifth in 3:27.80.
