GAME NOTES: #NCCUMBB Welcomes Howard to Durham

DURHAM, N.C. - North Carolina Central University looks for a third consecutive conference win and revenge as Howard University comes to McDougald-McLendon Arena on Monday, Jan. 23.  The Bison snapped the Eagles' 38-game home court winning streak on a last-second bucket on Dec. 7, 2015, but NCCU got a win over Howard in the opening round of the MEAC tournament last March.

STARTING FIVE:
1. 9-5 is NCCU's best non-conference record in the Division-I era.
2. NCCU's five-game win streak that was snapped by ECU was the longest since the 2014-15 season with a 10-game and nine-game run.
3. NCCU is 330-276 all-time against the MEAC.
4. Coach Moton is 76-24 all-time in regular season MEAC play.
5. NCCU went 7-9 in conference play last year.
 
SCOUTING THE BISON:
Howard was selected to top the MEAC this year, but currently sit in the bottom-third of the standings with a 2-2 record.  The Bison come to Durham fresh off of a 78-63 win over North Carolina A&T, bolstered by a career-high output of 30 points from Charles Williams in tandem with 26 points out of James Miller.  NCCU lost the only regular season meeting with the Bison last year when the Eagles' 38-game home court winning streak was broken, however NCCU won the MEAC Tournament matchup.
