DURHAM, N.C. – After a month of play the Lady Eagles will finally play at home when the North Carolina Central University softball team entertains the Charlotte 49ers in a single non-conference game at Parkwood Athletic Field on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
NCCU sports information will provide live stats to home softball games for the first time in 2016.

Kayleigh Brueck hit the Lady Eagles first home run on Sunday and she leads the squad with three RBI. Noland tops NCCU's runners with two stolen bases and four runs scored.
Wilson tops NCCU's primary starters with a 5.68 ERA but she has missed several games due to injury. Senior
London Booker maintains a 6.48 ERA and leads the Lady Eagles arms with 23 strikeouts. Junior
Jennifer Allison has seen more time in the pitcher's circle recently and has a 6.86 ERA.
NCCU was swept in a road doubleheader to the 49ers in Charlotte last season by scores of 10-0 and 11-10.

Sophomore transfer Becca Shipper entered the week batting .568 with a team-high 16 runs scored for a 49ers team that boasts a .318 team batting average and averaging over six runs per game.
Five other regulars are batting over .300 for Charlotte including Lizzy Birch (.389), Grace Beatty (.356), Bailey Rhoney (.341), Kiersten Berrier (.339) and Haley Pace (.315). Berrier has 10 stolen bases in her first 17 starts. Pace and Beatty top the 49ers run producers with 17 and 15 RBI, respectively.
Senior pitcher Lexi Betancourt is a 2015 Second Team All-Conference USA selection that leads Charlotte with an 8-2 record and a 1.92 ERA in 11 starts. Sophomore Haley Wiseman (5-2, 2.31 ERA) provides depth for the 49ers from the rubber. Betancourt has 67 strikeouts through her first 69.1 innings worked and Wiseman has fanned 55 in her first 42.1 innings.
