Complete Results

RALEIGH, N.C. – Zoe Ellis and Bethany White highlighted seven top-10 performances by North Carolina Central University men's and women's track and field teams at a packed Raleigh Relays field on Friday and Saturday, March 25-26.

The 2016 edition of the prestigious Raleigh Relays attracted more than 2,000 individual entries with 100 schools represented, so a spot in the top-10 was a coveted accomplishment.

Ellis, a junior out of Charlotte, North Carolina, placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a measurement of 12.16 meters. She finished behind jumpers from Brown, Connecticut and N.C. State, but ahead of 36 other competitors.

White, a freshman from Gaithersburg, Maryland, recorded a season-best time of 11.83 seconds in the preliminaries of the women's 100-meter dash to qualify for the finals. She posted a mark of 12.00 seconds in the 100m finals to finish in sixth place.

Also in the women's 100m dash, NCCU sophomore Markiara Staten placed 10th with a time of 11.87 seconds.

The NCCU women's 4x400m relay squad of Christa Landy, Kiana Seabrook, Santese Pryor and Jaleesa Smoot placed seventh with a time of 3:48.59.

The NCCU men's 4x100m relay team of Joshua McClam, Deontae Williams, Jonathan Williams and Isaac Roberts finished in 41.10 to place eighth.

McClam also earned a top-10 spot in the men's long jump with a leap of 7.03m to place ninth.

Another ninth-place performance for the Eagles was recorded by Mykol Branch in the men's high jump with a height of 1.90m.

NCCU returns to action on April 1-2 at the High Point University Vertklasse Meeting.
