THE GAME: The Rivalry returns to Durham as NCCU looks for its fifth-straight win over the Aggies of North Carolina A&T.  Of the last four for the Eagles in this series, they have all been by a margin of more than 10 points, the largest a 40-point victory (84-40) on Jan. 22, 2014 at McDougald-McLendon Arena.
 
SCOUTING THE AGGIES:
-North Carolina A&T finished with a 9-23 record last season and was 6-10 in conference play.  The Aggies bring in an interim head coach following the resignation of longtime MEAC coach Cy Alexander.  Jay Joyner stepped in and won his first game against Savannah State on Jan. 30 (73-72), and is currently 1-1 at the helm.
-The Aggies are led by Bruce Beckford (Silver Spring, Md.) is a major contributor for the squad with 13.3 points and 6.6 boards per contest.  Sam Hunt (Greensboro, N.C.) is also a big contributor who averages 15.5 points along with 2.4 assists per game.
-North Carolina A&T comes to Durham after a non-conference loss to Charlotte on Wednesday, Feb. 3 by a 92-72 final score.  Hunt tied for the game high with 21 points in that game, and Ahmad Abdullah (Raleigh, N.C.) 11 points.  Beckford was big in the paint with 10 points and six rebounds to tie for the team high.

THE RIVALRY:
NCCU and NC A&T meet on the hardwood for the 147th time in Durham, with the Aggies holding a 75-71 all-time series lead.  The Eagles have closed the gap by winning the last four meetings, and are looking to make it five-in-a-row and continue to draw level.  Here's a look back at NCCU's Division I matchups with the rival Aggies.
