SCOUTING THE BEARS:-Morgan State finished with a 7-24 record in the previous season, with a 5-11 run through the MEAC schedule. The Bears bowed out in the opening round of the MEAC tournament to eventual tournament champion Hampton, 91-71.
-The Bears are anchored by Cedric Blossom (Columbia, Md.) who is averaging 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Rasean Simpson (San Diego, Calif.) follows with 11.6 points and 6.3 boards per outing.
-Morgan State was defeated 87-79 at Hampton its last time out on Feb. 15. Simpson and Phillip Carr (Brooklyn, N.Y.) tied for the game-high with 21 points, and Carr notched a team-high nine rebounds.

NCCU VS. MORGAN STATE:NCCU leads the all-time series against Morgan State 48-40, and have won the last four meetings. The last time Morgan State defeated NCCU was the last time the Eagles faced the Bears in Baltimore, on Jan. 23, 2012 when MSU won 71-64. Though NCCU won the last matchup by 15 points, 74-59, the four previous contests were settled by fewer than 10 points.
