LIVE STATS SERIES: Florida A&M leads the series 9-2 and has won the last two meetings, including a 55-45 win in Tallahassee, Florida, on Feb. 1.
NCCU (4-17, 2-8) lost on Senior Day Saturday, falling to Bethune-Cookman 63-46. Senior
Tisha Dixon led the Lady Eagles with 13 points and eight rebounds. Freshman
Rodneysha Martin also scored a season-high 10 points. Dixon and junior
Morgan Jones share the team-lead in scoring with 10.7 points per game. Dixon also paces NCCU with 7.3 rebounds per game while Jones has team-best marks of 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. The Lady Eagles have a positive rebound margin on the year and have six players averaging at least 3.7 boards per game. Dixon totaled 15 points and nine rebounds in NCCU's first meeting against the Rattlers, but the Lady Eagles made just one 3-pointer, shot 32-percent from the field and were outrebounded in the 10-point loss.
FAMU (12-11, 6-4) is coming off its worst league loss of the season, an 80-51 road setback at North Carolina A&T on Saturday. The Rattlers are still one of the league's top scoring offenses averaging 64.7 points per game and have three players averaging double digits. Senior Olivia Antilla is bucketing 15.5 points per game, which ranks third in the league. Antilla also leads the MEAC with 2.5 made 3-pointers per game. Senior Khadejra Young and junior Cedricka Sweeting follow with 14.4 and 10.4 points per game. Antilla led the Rattlers to the 55-45 win over NCCU in Tallahassee with a game-high 16 points. Young led Florida A&M's defensive efforts with 13 rebounds.
