DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team returns to action with a Thanksgiving weekend game at Old Dominion University on Sunday at 2 p.m.

N.C. Central Women's Basketball
The Lady Eagles will be looking to rebound from a tough 61-30 loss at Campbell University on Tuesday. NCCU is 1-3 overall and 0-2 on the road.
Senior guard
Morgan Jones was held scoreless after starting the season with three consecutive double digit scoring games. She still leads the Lady Eagles with 10.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Sophomore forward
Deja McCain and freshman guard
Jada Blow are both averaging 7.5 points per game and they are followed closely by freshman
Erin Houser and her 7.3 points per contest. Blow has led NCCU in scoring twice this season and is averaging 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals, McCain has a team-best 40.7-percent field goal percentage, and Houser is the reigning MEAC Rookie of the Week.

Dominique Adams all add an average of at least five rebounds per contest.
A quintet of Lady Eagles continue to average over one steals per contest in Blow, Adams, Jones, McCain and Houser.
NCCU last played Old Dominion in the 2013-14 season with the Lady Monarchs posting a 68-44 victory. Senior
Monique Whaley-Briggs had three assists in that game. Jones was the only other current NCCU player to participate in that contest.
Old Dominion Women's Basketball
The Lady Monarchs are coming off a 92-64 loss in their road opener at Duke University on Tuesday. Old Dominion is 1-2 and was picked to finish third out of 14 in the 2016-17 Conference USA Preseason Poll.
Senior guard Jennie Simms ranks third in the NCAA in scoring with 26.7 points per game. The two-time C-USA All-Conference First Team selection is shooting 50.9-percent from the floor while also providing 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
Classmate Destinee Young is the Lady Monarchs other double digit scorer, pouring in 12.7 points per contest. The forward is pulling down a team-best 9.7 rebounds per contest.
ODU has a commanding +7.0 rebounding margin on the season, is averaging five blocks per contest and is shooting the ball well from the floor at a .424 clip. However, the Lady Monarchs have had trouble protecting the ball with nearly twice as many turnovers (62) as assists (37).
Old Dominion shot 47.5-percent in its 24-point win over the Lady Eagles three seasons ago. Junior forward Odegua Oigbokie started in that contest and bucketed 11 points.
