#NCCUMBB Closes November With Road Swing

DURHAM, N.C. - The North Carolina Central University men's basketball team goes back on the road for a two-game swing to close out the month of November with trips to Northern Kentucky and Missouri on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Monday, Nov. 28.

STARTING FIVE:
1. NCCU is 9-1 in the Division I era in home openers, and has won eight straight.
2. NCCU leads the MEAC in field goal percentage at 48.6.
3. NCCU will be on the road for six of the next 10 games.
4. NCCU's non-conference schedule puts the Eagles on the road nine times out of 14 games.
5. NCCU went 5-9 in non-conference play last year.
 
SCOUTING THE NORSE:
Northern Kentucky is currently on a two-game win streak after victories over Delaware and Miami (OH) in the Tarkett Sports Classic.  Drew McDonald leads the Norse in scoring with 18.8 points per game with 8.0 rebounds, followed by Jeff Garrett with 10.8 points and 8.8 boards per game.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
Missouri is led by Kevin Puryear, the Tigers' leading scorer in 2015-16 and current leading rebounder this season with 6.8 boards per outing.  Frankie Hughes leads in scoring with 15.8 points per game.  The Tigers are fresh off of a 67-62 win over Tulane in the Tire Pros Invitational, bolstered by K.J. Walton's 20 points.
