THE GAME: NCCU heads to Dover after waiting out Winter Storm Jonas to make up a postponed game with Delaware State.  The Division I era series between the Eagles and Hornets has been tight with both teams splitting six meetings, and the largest margin of victory has been 11 points.  DSU won the last meeting in the semifinals of the MEAC tournament.
 
SCOUTING THE HORNETS:
-Delaware State had a strong campaign during the 2014-15 season with an 18-18 overall record and went 9-7 in conference.  With the MEAC Player of the Year, Kendall Gray, the Hornets knocked off the Eagles in the semifinals of the MEAC tournament before falling to Hampton in the final.
-The Hornets are led by Devin Morgan (Chester, Va.) who puts in 10.7 points per game and also leads in assists with 2.6 per outing.  DeAndre Haywood (Paterson, N.J.) follows with 10.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest.
-Delaware State just broke a four game losinng streak and picked up its first conference win with a 57-55 survival against North Carolina A&T.  Dana Raysor (Willingboro, N.J.) posted 16 points and seven rebounds, and Morgan chipped in 12 points and eight assists.
 
SERIES: NCCU leads, 19-14.
 
NCCU VS. DELAWARE STATE:
NCCU leads the all-time series against Delaware State 19-14, but the Hornets won the last meeting during the semifinals of the MEAC Tournament.  The series is tied 3-3 during the Division I era for NCCU, and the Eagles have a 3-1 lead in conference play.  This series has been tight as of late, with the largest margin of victory being only 11 points by NCCU.
