DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University women's volleyball junior
Casey Curran has been named the NCCU Student-Athlete of the Month for August 2015 in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments on the court and in the classroom.
A native of Garden City, Kansas, Curran averaged 6.11 assists and 1.67 digs per set in the Lady Eagles first three matches of the season at the University of South Carolina to earn a spot on the Gamecock Invitational All-Tournament Team.
A transfer from Iowa Western Community College, Curran boasts a 3.70 grade point average during her time at NCCU. She is majoring in psychology and education with a career objective to become a teacher and coach volleyball.
