THE GAME: NCCU returns to McDougald-McLendon Arena for its final home game of the year against Montreat.  After having their 38-game home streak broken, the Eagles are looking to start a new streak.  While the overall streak and conference streak has ended at home, NCCU has still won 12 consecutive home games against non-conference opponents.
 
SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS:
-Montreat is an NAIA school that competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.  The Cavaliers finished with a 9-19 record last season while going 5-13 in conference play.
-The Cavaliers are led by Amir Davis (Charlotte, N.C.) who is currently averaging 14.9 points per game, shooting 48.1 percent from the arc and is pulling down 3.7 rebounds per game.  He is followed by Alonzo Mobley (Lincolnton, N.C.) who averages 14.1 points plus 4.5 boards per contest.
-Montreat last hosted Emory & Henry College and were defeated 73-113.  Davis posted 16 points, and Mobley and Sam McKinney (Bakersville, N.C.) both recorded 12 points.
 
SERIES: This is the first meeting between NCCU and Montreat.
 
NCCU VS. APPALACHIAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE:
The Applachian Athletic Conference is an NAIA league that has 12 member institutions, but the Eagles have only faced one.  NCCU defeated Milligan College in a 40-minute thriller that finished 99-90 in Durham on Dec. 29, 2010.
