THE GAME: NCCU plays its second game in the Global Sports Classic as the Eagles meet Houston for the first time in program history.  NCCU will finish the road swing as they travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the final rounds of the Global Sports Classic against Southern and Eastern Illinois or Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 21-22.
 
SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
-Houston went 13-19 last season and finished with a 4-14 record within The American Athletic Conference.  This season has been a change of pace as the Cougars opened with a five-game win streak, and are currently 6-1.
-The Cougars have the top scoring offense in the conference at 88.0 points per game, and are powered by the conference's leading scorer Rob Gray, Jr. (Forest City, N.C.) who averages 19.6 points per contest.  Devonta Pollard (Porterville, Miss.) is annother major contributor with 14.9 points and 6.6 boards per game.
-Houston is hot off a win over LSU on Dec. 13, where the Cougars prevailed 105-98 in overtime. Gray had an electric 31-point game with 27 points after the halftime break.  Danrad Knowles (Nassau, Bahamas) created 20 points and nine boards for the Cougars and
Damyean Dotson (Houston, Texas) posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
 
SERIES: This is the first meeting between NCCU and Houston.
