THE GAME: NCCU wraps up a three-game road trip against Louisiana Tech on Friday, Nov. 27 before starting a three-game home stand on Dec. 3 against Mississippi Valley State.  This is the first of three matchups against a Conference USA team this season, and the Eagles will meet an opponent for the first time in the Division I era for the third time in three games.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
-Louisiana Tech has won back-to-back regular season titles just like NCCU, and have represented Conference USA in the last two National Invitation Tournaments.  LA Tech finished the 2014-15 campaign with a record of 27-9, and were defeated in the semifinals of the C-USA Basketball Championships.  LA Tech advanced to the quarterfinals of the NIT before falling to Temple, 59-77.
-The Bulldogs are 4-0 this season following a road upset of Ohio State, 82-74 led by Erik McCree (Orlando, Fla.) with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Alex Hamilton (Chipley, Fla.) with 24 points.  That pair have been instrumental for the squad as McCree leads in scoring with 16.8 points per game, followed closely by Hamilton with 16.5.  Those two are also the leading rebounders with 7.8 boards per contest from Hamilton, and 7.5 from McCree.
-Championships are not the only similarity between LA Tech and NCCU, the Bulldogs currently claim the fourth-longest home court win streak in the nation.  They have won 32 straight at Thomas Assembly Center, 28 consecutive in conference play, and since February 2012 they are 51-1 against all opponents.  NCCU currently has a 36-game winning streak which is second in the nation, and have won 25 in-a-row against MEAC foes at McDougald-McLendon Arena.

SERIES: This is the first meeting between NCCU and Louisiana Tech.

NCCU vs. C-USA: Conference USA contains 14 member institutions, and NCCU has faced four.  NCCU faced former C-USA member Tulsa back in 2008, and Charlotte in 2011 before they joined the conference.  NCCU's lone win against a C-USA opponent was a 76-69 overtime triumph at Old Dominion in 2013, the Monarchs' first year in the conference.  Here's a look at NCCU's record against the league.
