NCCU carries the nation's second-longest home win streak into the contest with 35 consecutive wins. This is the Eagles' first game at home since the renovations to McDougald-McLendon Arena. This is also NCCU's only game at home in the month of November.
SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS-Allen participates in the NAIA and comes to Durham with a 1-3 record on the season. The Yellow Jackets opened their season at home with a 71-66 win over Barber-Scotia, and have been on the road since. This is Allen's fifth-straight road game including an exhibition at South Carolina. They will play two more contests before returning to Columbia, South Carolina.
-The Yellow Jackets return two starters from last season, Emaray Johnson (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) and Derrick McCord (Birmingham, Ala.). Johnsonn led the team in scoring with 9.8 points, and McCord gathered 5.2 rebounds per game to pace the squad.
-Allen last played Mercer and was defeated 70-96. Johnson posted 17 points off the bench, and McCord and Sherrod Wade (Atlanta, Ga.) teamed up for 15 points apiece. Donald Marshall (Orlando, Fla.) pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets.
