SCOUTING THE TIGERS:-Clemson was a semifinalist in the 2014 National Invitiation Tournament, before being eliminated by SMU 65-59 at Madison Square Garden. Last season, however, the Tigers went 16-15 and 8-10 in the ACC before bowing out to Florida State in the second round of the conference tournament, 76-73.
-The Tigers are led by redshirt junior forward Jaron Blossomgame who averaged 13.1 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Donte Grantham returns as well, after contributing 8.8 points per game, while senior center Landry Nnoko averaged 7.6 points and 5.4 boards per game.
-Clemson went 11-6 at home inside Littlejohn Coliseum last season, but while that facility undegoes renovation, the Tigers will play at Bon Secours Wellness Center in Greenville, South Carolina, which is 45 minutes away from campus.
SERIES: This is the first meeting between NCCU and Clemson.
NCCU vs. The ACC: NCCU has played six of the league's 16 teams since making the move to Division I, compiling a 1-16 record. The Eagles lone victory came on Nov. 22, 2013 against NC State when the maroon and gray pulled off the major upset 82-72 in overtime in PNC Arena.
