The Game: North Carolina Central University rides a five-game winning streak into College Park to challenge the 19th-ranked Maryland Terrapins, who are 8-1 on the season. This marks NCCU's third straight road game in six days, with a fourth coming up Dec. 15 at Memphis. The Eagles have held four of their last five opponents to 40 points or fewer.

SCOUTING REPORT: MARYLAND
- The Maryland Terrapins are coming off an 82-62 victory over Winthrop on Saturday, Dec. 6.
- The Terrapins opened the season with seven consecutive victories before suffering their only loss against Virginia, 76-65, on Dec. 3.
- Rookie guard Melo Trimble is Maryland's leading scorer with 16.4 points per game. ESPN.com ranked Trimble as the seventh best shooting guard (29th overall) in the nation when coming out of Bishop O'Connell high school. He was recognized as a McDonald's All-American.
- Dez Wells, out of Raleigh, North Carolina, will miss Wednesday's game due to a fractured wrist, suffered in Iowa State game on Nov. 25.
- Maryland moved to No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Maryland and NCCU first met last season, when the Terrapins beat the Eagles 70-56 on Dec. 31, 2013.

According to NCAA.com, NCCU's RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) is 104 out of 351 teams across the nation. Maryland is 57th.
