THE GAME
North Carolina Central University wraps up a four-game road stretch in the last 10 days with its first trip to Memphis. The Eagles look to bounce back from a 67-56 loss at No. 19 Maryland, which snapped their five-game win streak. NCCU has committed fewer turnovers than its opponents in each of the last seven games, with a 5-2 record.
 
SCOUTING REPORT: MEMPHIS
- The Memphis Tigers are coming off a 73-55 home loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday.
- Memphis is a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC), which operated as the Big East Conference from 1979-2013.
- The Tigers have alternated wins and losses each game this season.
- Memphis boasts six Tigers that average more than 7.0 points per game, topped by junior forward Shaq Goodwin with 10.7 and sophomore forward Austin Nichols with 10.3.
- The Tigers' top six scorers consist of two juniors and four sophomores. There is just one senior (Calvin Godfrey) on the Memphis roster.
- Memphis ranks seventh in the nation with 6.9 blocked shots per game (as of Dec. 14), with 6-8 sophomore forward Austin Nichols ranking 14th in the nation and topping the AAC with 3.1 rejections per contest.
