BLACKSBURG, VA. – With its opponents knocking down 10 three-pointers and shooting 50 percent from the field, the North Carolina Central University women's basketball team was unable to answer the Virginia Tech Hokies, falling 80-44, as the Lady Eagles dropped their fourth-straight on Wednesday, Dec. 10, in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Khyra Conerly (Oakland, California) poured in half of NCCU's offense scoring a season-best 22 points during the setback. She also collected a team-best five boards and four steals.
A 10-0 run opened the ballgame for the Hokies as they led early and continued to keep the Lady Eagles under double-figures until rookie
Kierona Morton (Paterson, New Jersey), knocked down a jumper with 4:27 left in the first half.
Virginia Tech took a 47-15 lead into the locker room during the intermission.
With 1:29 left in the contest, the Hokies took their largest lead of the game at 40 after a made layup put Virginia Tech on top of NCCU, 79-39, before pulling off the 80-44 victory.
The Hokies were led by Rachel Camp's 29 points, 12 rebounds and four assists while Samantha Hill and Hannah Young trailed with 15 and 10 points apiece.
NCCU returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 14 as the Lady Eagles take on their second top-25 team of the season, and second consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foe, traveling to Syracuse, New York, to Battle the No. 20/22 Syracuse Orange at 12 p.m., in the Carrier Dome.
