DURHAM, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) – The North Carolina Central University men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to kick off the 2012 season on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 9 a.m. at the annual NCCU/North Carolina A&T State University Relay Meet held in Durham, N.C., on the campus of Duke University at the Al Buehler Cross Country Trail.
The Lady Eagles return last season’s freshman standout
Amber Brooks. The Tampa, Fla., native is the lone Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference all-conference member on the squad. Brooks finished in 15th place overall in the MEAC finals, helping lead the Lady Eagles to a seventh place finish at their first conference championship appearance.
During last year’s men’s season, the Eagles finished 13th overall during the conference championship.
