NCCU TRACK AND FIELD SIGNS LOCAL TALENT FOR CLASS OF 2016

Durham Native Santese Pryor to join Lady Eagles Squad

DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University head track and field coach Michael Lawson has announced that sprinter Santese Pryor has signed a national letter of intent to run track at NCCU next season. 

Durham native Pryor attends C.E. Jordan High School and holds her school record for the 55-meter dash (7.10 seconds). Pryor has also earned other accolades during her time as a Falcon including: Number Six N.C. Girls All-Classes Top 10 Indoor Performances for 2012 in the 55m dash, 2012 MileSplit National Indoor Silver Elite Level (55m and 300m), 2011 Jordan High School Women’s Most Outstanding Track Sprinter, 2011 Pac-6 All-Conference (100m and 400m) and 2010 Jordan High School Women’s Track and Field Most Outstanding Athlete.

Off of the track Pryor is a member of the International Thespian Society and is a part of the Dance Honor Society at Jordan. She intends to major in exercise science at NCCU.
