DURHAM, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) – After a world wind of schedule changes due to inclement weather, the North Carolina Central University softball team will take on UNC Greensboro in lieu of previous contests that were cancelled in the month of February on Wednesday, March 7 in Greensboro, N.C., at 5:00 p.m.
NCCU (1-15) and UNCG (5-11) meet for the third time since 2002. The Lady Spartans defeated the Lady Eagles 0-14 and 0-11 on March 7 of 2009 in Greensboro, N.C.
The mighty maroon enters the mid-week contest following the three-day (March 2-4) USC Upstate Subway Spartan Tournament in Spartanburg, S.C., where the maroon and gray went 0-5. Junior Nadia Jefferies tallied her first all-tournament team honor of the season during the event.
